The
existing Automotive Technology Complex was part of Phase 2
of original campus construction in 1978. The building was
designed and used for vocational and industrial labs. The
expansion and remodel removed the large shower and locker
facilities, converted older labs into up-to-date lecture rooms
and added an automotive electronics testing lab, a heavy equipment
lab and a computer lab with state-of-the-art automotive diagnostic
equipment. The modernization project included the following:
a complete remodel of existing restroom facilities; installation
of new HVAC equipment - preexisting class-labs were not air-conditioned;
and an upgrade of facilities per the 3DI Facilities Assessment
Report. 1
