This
project initially consisted of a three-level parking structure
in lot 5 to add approximately 750-800 parking spaces. The
plan also includes new Public Safety offices. Phase 1 site utility work was complete Jan 2008.
Phase 2 Building to bid in May and start constructing in June 08. Anticipated completion July 2009.
Besides additional parking spaces to accomodate
campus growth, the structure was to greatly improve access for
people with mobility problems by making parking available at
the inner-campus elevation, thus offering an alternative to
the long wheelchair ramps now in place.
